I love to practice putting. I do it before playing a round of golf, on days off, and at home. Practice putting is so easy to do, and can be done anywhere, so why not try to get better and lower your scores whenever you have time?
I have used many putting training aids and most are very helpful. I recently found something unlike any other training aid, a golf ball looking training aid, except is has 2 sides where are kind of flat. Yes, it’s unique and I had to try it.
The company is PuttOut, and their Devil Ball putting training aid is not only unique and challenging, it works to get your putting swing to square the putter face. If you don’t square the putter face using the PuttOut Devil Ball the Devil Ball you can see immediately go offline.
Here is a description from the company…..
Devil Ball will help train you to deliver your putter face back to the ball square.
By square, we mean not pointing out to the right (open) and not pointing to the left (closed).*
With up to 90% of a putt’s start direction dictated by the face angle delivered, improving this element of your putting stroke is fundamental to becoming a better putter.
Fewer putts = lower scores.
Putts from 3-5ft are twice as hard with Devil Ball compared to a regular spherical golf ball.
With three levels of difficulty built into each ball, Devil Ball is suitable for golfers with all levels of experience.
I have been practicing with the PuttOut Devil Ball for about 3 weeks, and I can tell you it’s not easy to putt the Devil Ball straight every time. It takes practice and a lot of practice. I started off with the Beginner level which you would think was simple as a golfer, but it’s not. It takes time and patience to roll the Devil Ball straight with a square putter face multiple putts.
After a few weeks, I was able to progress to the Intermediate level using the Devil Ball. Again, it is a real challenge squaring the putter face in the intermediate level. I continue to practice on the intermediate level. I have tried the Pro level, and it is obvious I am not ready for4 that yet, so I am focused on continuing to train at the Intermediate level at this time.
Bottom line, the PuttOut Devil Ball is a very challenging putting training aid. It will definitely help you square your putter face to the golf ball; however, it takes time, practice and patience. As with every training aid, they are not miracle workers, if you put in the time they really can help to improve your game and lower your scores.
