Most of the time golf is played with warm weather conditions, and a lot of the time it’s played when it’s really hot. So, I have been searching for a way to stay cooler on the golf course, and low and behold I found the answer at the 2025 PGA Show.
The company is Cool Spray and they offer a very unique product that will definitely help you stay cooler on the golf course. When they sprayed my shirt at the PGA Show I was a bit skeptical but after about 1 minute, my upper body was a lot cooler. The Cool Spray is meant to be sprayed only on fabric and not on your skin, and it provides a burst of freshness and cooling.
The Cool Spray does have a mint or menthol scent which was not strong but was there, and if you are outside, you most likely after a few minutes won’t smell it at all. I simply sprayed my chest and back with 6 sprays and my shoulders with 2 sprays as indicated by the company, and after a minute I immediately felt the cooling effect.
The cooling effect lasted about an hour on several 80-degree days, and 40-45 minutes on several 85–88-degree days. It worked great and unlike a fan which just blows hot air on you, the Cool Spray actually gets you cooler. I’m sure you could use the Cooling Spray while doing any other outdoor activities, however I can attest it worked great on hot days on the golf course, and I’m a fan for sure.
Bottom line, if you want to stay cooler on the golf course, Cool Spray is a great way to do just that. It is refreshing and cooling at the same time, and makes your round of golf on those hot and humid days much more comfortable and enjoyable.
