I use a laser rangefinder on my home course as I know carry distances and I know the layout of each hole, however when I go to a course that I am not familiar with or play regularly I use a golf GPS watch. Imagine having the best of both worlds in one device. Now you can.
The brand-new Voice Caddie SL3 is a power packed hybrid laser rangefinder that has all the features of a rangefinder and more plus all the features of a golf watch and more. Here is what the company says about the SL3…. An active hybrid GPS laser rangefinder, the SL3 integrates a high-resolution touchscreen, dynamic and detailed green undulation data, and course layout graphics (with eagle eye overview), putt view with elevation/distance measurement, and GPS distance readings. In its scope is a bright multi-color OLED display with best-in-class optical clarity. The SL3 integrates slope compensation, pin tracer with GPS pin assist for advanced stabilization, a ultra-high-speed processor, and high propensity noise filtration. The SL3 is the only device ever to integrate a fully hybrid GPS for maximum filtering and stability, illustrative course layout and green views, and putt distance measurement into a laser rangefinder. Truly the most advanced laser rangefinder ever developed.
The Voice Caddie SL3 has every feature you can imagine. From Pin Tracer, to GPS Pin Assist, to Slope, to Putt View, to course layout, to shot distance measurement, and a color touchscreen. The SL3 has every imaginable feature and many that I have never seen before in any other rangefinder. I had to take the Voice Caddie SL3 to several golf courses to test it. I started with my home courses (I play 3 courses on a regular basis) and the SL3 was deadly accurate with distances, as I compared it to another laser rangefinder and another GPS watch. The Pin Tracer really helps if your hands don’t stay perfectly still as it scans the area to locate the flag. I really liked the smart green view which lets you zoom into the green and see the variation in green slope. You can also move the flag and ball position so you know exactly where the putt should start.
I then took the Voice Caddie to a few courses that I play on occasion, maybe once or twice a season where I have friends that are members of and invite me to play. The SL3 was a dream come true, showing every golf hole layout, green views and exact distance to the front and back of every hazard. I was in awe as the SL3 was truly awesome in every way. It is a true hybrid laser rangefinder which gives you confidence on every golf hole. It’s really like having an experienced caddie with you on your round. The only thing missing in my opinion is the SL3 is not magnetic, so you need to buy a magnetic strap for it if you want it to be readily available on the golf cart.
Bottom line, the Voice Caddie SL3 is a full-featured hybrid laser rangefinder that has you completely covered on every hole. Distances to the pin and hazards are accurate, the green view is an excellent feature, the Pin Tracer is very helpful, and having everything you could possibly need in one device can only be described as completely awesome!
