I will be just about anything to get a few extra yards off the tee. So, when I saw a golf tee that says it’s unique and can add up to 12 extra yards off the tee, I had to try it.
This golf tee is pretty unique as it has tiny bumps on the very top part that keep your golf ball just a tiny bit off the head of the golf tee. You can see and feel the tiny bumps and it would make sense that if there is less friction, your golf ball should go further. The Tour Tee is also pretty sharp so you can clean your grooves when needed with them, and use them also as a divot repair tool. The Tour Tee Pro and Original are both 3.15 inch tee height, and the Mini is 1.75 inches.
The company is Tour Tee, and here is what they say about their tees….

Time for the test. First a few on the range, and then on the golf course. I can say the golf ball sits really nice on the Tour Tee. I could not tell on the range any distance gains as we don’t have the best distance flags set up, so the golf course will really tell all. I used both the Tour Tee Pro which has a tee head similar to a regular golf tee, and the Tour Tee Original which has a larger tee head size, and the Tour Tee Mini on the par 3’s.
I can say without question my tee shots went at least 5+ yards longer using both the Tour Tee Pro and Original. Some may have been as much as 15 yards longer, but I would say on average at least 5-7 yards. The Tour Tee Mini I was gaining a few extra yards, but it felt like my iron shots with the Mini were straighter on average, and I had slightly more control.
Bottom line, the Tour Tee tees with their tiny bumps on the top of the golf tee definitely had less friction and added yards to my shots. In addition, after 8 yards with the Tour Tees, I never broke or bent one. As an added bonus, I also used the Tour Tee several times to clean my grooves while walking up to the green, and it did a nice job as a divot tool.
The company website is www.TourTee.com and the cost for a pack of 4 is only $8.95. They also offer combo packs and bulk purchases.
