As we all know, it’s proper golf etiquette to repair your ball’s mark or “divot” that’s left from where your ball dropped and dented the green. As a courtesy to others golfers who follow you, everyone who plays the game should carry a divot tool with them. Sadly, I’ve played on numerous courses where the greens were in poor condition due to people not repairing their ball marks . . . . and it’s a pretty aggravating experience. Using a…

Searching for a good fitting golf glove for me is often a challenge as my hands are a little on the small side. My everyday gloves are either a Footjoy StaSoft or my most-favored Mokom brand of golf glove. Today I will be reviewing the Zero Friction brand of golf glove as it claims to have one-size-fits-all sizing. The company offers mens, womans, and youth sizes of gloves that are available in both synthetic and Cabretta leather. Both styles of…
6-17-19 – Update… After using the Tune Driver for 2 months, it would not charge. The cord would not fit cleanly into the charging spot and the head would not charge. I have asked the company for a replacement and I am still waiting for the replacement head. The sound was always good, not being able to charge the unit is a definite issue. My weekday golfing group prefers to not listen to music while on the links. That all…
Because I’m not a fan of the generic head covers that are often included with the purchase of putters and drivers, I keep searching for better aftermarket options. I’m pleased to report that I’ve come across Rose and Fire Driver Covers and have found them to be well made and a solid upgrade. It’s a little hard to explain how nice these Rose and Fire head covers really are, but I’ll try to detail what I believe makes them so good.…
Golf stores and pro shops generally all share the same brands including Nike, Puma, Adidas, Footjoy and Under Armour. These are all terrific brands, but I’m always looking for premium golf apparel that is high quality, unique and a step-above. I stumbled upon the VUGA brand and decided to try a polo shirt and a pair of golf pants to see how they compare with a few of the better known brands in my wardrobe. Specifically, I went with the…
As long as I’ve been a golfer, my preferred go-to golf glove brand has been FootJoy. I’ve tried others over the years, but I’ve always gone back to FootJoy because I preferred their glove’s fit and feel. I’m always searching for those newest, latest and greatest golf products . . . which is how I came across the Mokom brand of golf gloves. Mokom makes gloves for Golf, Football, Baseball and Tennis. I found their golf gloves to be the…
The weakest part of my golf game is putting. I find it quite difficult to read the breaks in the greens, especially on putts going sideways or up and down hills. I’ve tried numerous things and there are some very good products like Sure Putt (which I’ve reviewed) which help, but I wanted to know all the breaks similar to what the Tour Pro’s know. They get these awesome green books at each event which shows all the breaks from…
I’ve reviewed several golf tees over the past year. Although some of the tees were very good, they were all capable of doing just a single function – tee up a golf ball. The Zoom Golf Tee does several useful things in addition to teeing up your golf ball at the same height each time. The Zoom Golf Tee has a head that allows for your ball to sit perfectly, aligning with the sweet spot of your golf club. The…
When playing in the morning, the dew on the greens and the fairways gets your grips wet. Wet grips can make swinging the golf club or putter very uncomfortable because you just can’t get that feeling of control. I typically use either a towel, or a product called Grip Dry (reviewed last year), to keep my golf club grips dry when playing in the morning, or when the grass is wet Recently, I discovered a new product that’s easier to…
While at the PGA show, I tested a very unique putter grip from a company called Forward Golf. . After 5 or 6 dead-straight practice putts at the show, I decided that I had to try Forward Golf’s grip on my own putter to see for myself if their grip performed in a real environment. I ordered their Mid-size putter grip from Forward Golf and it arrived on time and as promised. Forward Golf offers grips in several sizes. Their…
