As long as I’ve been a golfer, my preferred go-to golf glove brand has been FootJoy. I’ve tried others over the years, but I’ve always gone back to FootJoy because I preferred their glove’s fit and feel.
I’m always searching for those newest, latest and greatest golf products . . . which is how I came across the Mokom brand of golf gloves. Mokom makes gloves for Golf, Football, Baseball and Tennis. I found their golf gloves to be the most unique looking golf gloves I’ve ever seen. Attached are pictures of Mokom Gloves – they have the cool slick look of motorcycle gloves, which are sure to get lots of looks on the golf course.
I took a Mokom glove to the course to test over several rounds. The glove is made with a stretched fabric and has a polyurethane coating, soft white cabretta leather, lots of strategically placed laser-cut holes and a nice strong Velcro closure. The glove was very breathable and for the first time ever, I could actually feel the golf club grip in my hand through the glove’s laser holes. As I was now able to actually feel the grip in my hand, I felt like I didn’t need to grip the golf club as tightly. At first, it all felt quite different and unusual, but after several shots, I began to not notice. I actually kept the golf glove on while chipping and putting, which is something that I never do, and it all felt fine. NOTE: I did infrequently take the glove off to putt because I prefer to go gloveless while putting.
The Mokom Golf Glove was a pleasure to wear. My hand was never sweaty while playing on a very humid day, with temperatures that approached 100 degrees. After playing several rounds with the Mokom glove, I can say that it’s definitely the best performing glove that I’ve ever used. The improved feel of the club in my hand, along with loving the fact that my hand remained dry, has made the Mokom Golf Glove my preferred glove and the brand that I’ll use from now on. The fact that I received a lot of positive feedback on the glove’s stylish look was a definite “plus” as well. I highly recommend it.
The company website is www.mokomgloves.com and the cost for one glove is $34.99 and if you buy a second glove it’s only $25.00 additional. The gloves come in sizes S, M, L, XL and XXL.
