Playing in the cold fall and winter months is definitely not ideal, but sometimes you just got to play golf regardless of temperature. When temperatures get below 50, it’s cold and add in the wind and it’s time to layer up.
I was playing golf one day and it was in the 40’s and I was pretty cold, so when I got home I starting doing some research as to what could help make the round a little bit better. I recalled seeing NFL quarterbacks using some type of hand warmer around their waists before they got the football and thought that would definitely help while waiting for others to hit their golf shots or even driving around the golf course.
After searching I found the solution. The company is G-TECH, and they made some amazing hand warmers, which was exactly what I was looking for. After reading on their website that it was indeed what I saw NFL players using, as well as, the pouch is used by CFL, MLB, NCAA, PGA, and LPGA players, I knew I had to try one.
Time to see if the G-Tech Heated Pouch Sport 2.0 would work on the golf course. I tried the G-Tech Heated Pouch Sport on 3 separate occasions, all of the days the temperatures were between 45 – 55 degrees, anything below 45 degrees and that’s just to cold for me. The first day I used the Pouch exclusively on the high heat setting and it was very hot and lasted about 2.5 hours. The next time I started on high for about 30 minutes, and the rest of the round was on medium heat and it lasted 4 hours, no issues with extra heat to spare. The 3rd time I tested the pouch I started it on high heat for about an hour and then the rest of the 3 hours on the medium setting, and it worked great with again extra heat to spare.
