Like everyone else, I perspire in the heat when I golf. In the Mid-Atlantic region it gets really hot and humid, and sweating is just a part of playing golf in warm weather. If you’re not familiar with what happens when your forehead sweats, your hat gets white lines on the outside. These white streaks look really bad, and after washing, the hat is never quite the same.
At the PGA show, I talked to a company called No Sweat who promoted a product that promises to end the sweat stains on hats. No Sweat is a unique disposable liner that is placed above the inside brim of the hat. You simply peel away the backing of the liner and stick it on. The liner is moisture wicking, so no more sweat running into your eyes on dripping on your forehead.
During a recent test, I found No Sweat liners to be very simple to install inside of my golf hat. I barely felt the liner when it was in place. With a playing temperature in excess of 85 degrees, I certainly worked up a sweat while golfing. Although I was ready for a shower after my round, my hat had no sweat stains or bad odors. I never once had to wipe sweat away from my face which allowed me to stay focused on my game, which I found to be a huge plus. I used the No Sweat liners on 3 different hats, on 3 different days of golf, and the results were identical – no ugly white lines on my hats and no sweat rolling down my face.
If your head sweats when golfing and you have hats with the ugly white sweat lines, I suggest trying the NO Sweat liners to save your golf hats. The company’s website is www.nosweatco.com. The company offer liners for baseball style hats, visors, hard hats, and hockey helmets. The liners cost $4.99 for a pack of 3, and in my opinion they are well worth every cent.
