Generally, most people when they take their golf gloves either put them in their pocket, or throw them into the golf cart. The issue is they need to stay dry and clean, and this is definitely not the best way to do that. I have found an awesome product to keep your golf gloves clean, dry and ready to go, and it’s simple and easy.
Dry Dots are a quick, easy and effective way to keep your golf glove dry while golfing. Dry Dots have a magnetic side you simply stick to the side of the golf cart and the other side uses a Velcro like material that you stick your golf glove to. The Dry Dots use a powerful magnetic base that sticks to metal posts, bars, and even your golf clubs.
Using Dry Dots is the key to keeping your golf glove dry while golfing by having the wind dry put the sweat that we all have after hitting golf balls. This helps keep your golf gloves from getting that crusty feeling after a few rounds, as they have been drying after every shot or after a few shots and are no longer wet and thrown into the trunk of your car.
Here is some info from the company about using Dry Dots…
For Normal Use
During normal playing conditions, we recommend attaching your Drydot to the outside edge of the metal bar of your golf cart. That way it gets the most amount of sun and wind exposure.
Placing or removing your glove is extremely fast and easy. Simply press the tongue portion of your glove onto Drydots high grip surface. To remove it you can just grab the glove and peel it or pull it.
For Extreme Heat
If it’s really hot and muggy (which is pretty much most of the time we play here in the Midwest) we recommend going with a two-glove rotation. While one Drydot is highly effective, when it gets really scorching or humid out there, using two Drydots with two gloves is even better.
For Rainy Conditions
If you encounter rain, we recommend attaching your Drydot to the inside of the metal bar of your golf cart just behind the windshield. That way it will still get air flow, while remaining protected from the elements.
For Snowy Conditions
Put your Drydot in your bag and go home and sit next to the fire with a nice scotch or bourbon.
Removing your Drydot
Your Drydot comes with a small lip around it’s diameter. Just grab the lip and give it a pull or simply slide it to the side and it will come off with no problems. We encased the bottom with a plastic surround that won’t scratch or damage the metal bars of golf carts.
I have been using Dry Dots for about 3+ weeks and I love them. I take my glove off before going to the green, and easily place it on the Dry Dot on the golf car metal post. As the wind blows throw my glove, it gets rid of some of the sweat that has built up, especially on those really hot and humid days.
Bottom line, Dry Dots do an excellent job of keeping your golf gloves dry, easily accessible and longer lasting. Dry Dots come in various colors, team colors, limited editions, and they even have a Star Wars collection. You can get customized Dry Dots if you have a tournament, outing, or special event. Dry Dots are a great accessory and I’m a big fan of using them and preserving my golf gloves.
