While at the practice green, I noticed a person in my group that was using an unusual looking apparatus which was connected to his putter. As I watched him putt, I could clearly see that this “gadget” appeared to have removed the wrist action from his putting stroke. Interestingly, he explained that he had bought this specific putting training aid over 10 years ago. Since he was now having some putting issues, he decided to take it out of storage to practice. The device is the Medicus Putting Guide Trainer.
Since I can be “wristy” when I putt, I tend to pull my putts to the left, so I was excited to test out the Medicus aid. I found the best way to use the Medicus was to start with putts at about 4 feet out, and then move to a distance of 6 feet and then 10 feet.
The Medicus Putting Guide Trainer retails for $28.00 on Amazon and can be found at this link: https://www.amazon.com/Medicus-RMG-0000388-Putting-Guide-Trainer/dp/B000OZYUK2/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=medicus+putting+aid&qid=1570292719&sr=8-5
If you’re “wristy” like me and are looking for an effective putting training aid, this product should definitely be considered. The Medicus trains you to focus on your shoulder and not your hands and wrists. I’ve added the Medicus to my training regimen and frequently use it during my warm ups.
