I have seen my share of putter grips and have tried many. I seem to always stay with my SuperStroke as it just feels the best, even though most of the grips are made from the same material. However, not this grip I recently found, it is truly unique!
The company is Hardwood Golf, and they make hand made putter grips. So what makes theirs so special, they are made of wood. Yes, wood putter grips that are available in Paduak, Walnut, and Maple wood. Hardwood Golf grips are one of a kind for sure.

I put a Hardwood Golf Maple golf grip on one of my putters to test it out. The first thing I have to say is that it looks great. I started putting with it on the practice green to get a feel for it. It’s nothing like a rubber grip so it takes some time to get used to it. I hit about 50 putts to different targets, uphill and downhill to get a real feel for the grip. I liked the feel, however it felt a little bit slippery to me. I think if I applied a very, very light sandpaper to it, it may take away that slight slippery feel. I didn’t do that as I wasn’t sure if it would damage the grip.
Bottom line, I like the Hardwood Golf putter grips because they are unique, one of a kind, different, and great looking. I am not sure I love the feel, as I put without a glove on and like a firm solid grip. Maybe with a glove on your hand you would not have the same slightly slippery feel.
The company website is https://hardwoodgolf.com/collections/all and the cost for a Hardwood Golf putter grip is approximately $45.00.
