This seems to be a problem with anyone who uses a golf rangefinder; where to put the thing when your golfing. I assume most people throw it in the cart somewhere, as we know rangefinders are just to big to put in your pocket and to bulky to take in and out of your golf bag for every shot.
I’ve used several different devises to strap my Bushnell rangefinder to the golf cart and some have worked better than others. The one I found that works really well is from a company called Monument Golf. They have a product called, Stick It, which uses a strap that goes completely around your golf rangefinder and has several magnets in it that let you attach it to the golf cart frame.
The company makes the straps in either a standard size or a XL size. The company offers these straps with several designs on them, as well as in solid colors. For my Bushnell I needed their XL strap as I assume it’s a bit larger than standard.
I put the strap on and was a bit hesitant that the magnets would not hold my Bushnell to the cart frame (pictured below). The course I was on was a little bumpy and honestly when hitting a few bumps I had my hands almost holding the rangefinder to make sure if it dropped I would catch it. However, after 18 holes and some bumps, hills and crazy turns, the Stick It strap never failed. The golf rangefinder never slipped or fell. Honestly it held the rangefinder on like a champ.
The company says this about their Stick It product…Designed with industrial strength magnets , the Stick It Strap gives you quick and easy access to your range finder on every shot! The best solution to where to put your rangefinder during the round.
The company website is www.monumentgolfer.com and the price ranges from $29.95 to $34.95.
